Typically, a security guard serves as the first line of defense between prospective security threats and the community to which they have been dispatched. To execute their job successfully, they must do much more than simply maintain a security presence; they must also keep educated and vigilant at all times. Is it really that important whether or not a security guard is prepared for anything at all? Some may argue that their mere existence alone is sufficient to provide a safe environment for inhabitants, since they serve as a visible deterrent to crime.
